Open Decks is Cardiff's open invitation to play. Industry-standard equipment, a proper sound system and a room that actually listens. Whether it's your first time behind the decks or your five-hundredth, you get a slot, you play your sound, and the community backs you.
Who it's for
Bedroom DJs to seasoned selectors.
If you love the music, you qualify. Open Decks exists for the DJ who has never played outside their bedroom, the producer who wants to road-test their own tracks, and the selector between bookings who misses the room. No clout required. No followers checked.
How to apply
Join the community. Raise your hand.
Open Deck slots are offered inside the Cardiff community first. Join, introduce yourself, and put your name forward when slots open. Members hear about dates before anyone else.

Nobody plays to an empty room at Open Decks, because everyone in the room has stood where you're standing. We hold the bar high on respect and low on ego. Constructive, welcoming, and honest about the craft.

Selected DJs from Open Decks progress to guest mixes, support slots at secret events, and, as Cardiff grows, resident opportunities. We're building a pipeline for underground talent, and this is the first step through the door.
